Expanding Access and Services to Members

Ishpeming, MI-Our Board of Directors and Leadership Team at TruNorth Federal Credit Union are excited to announce technology and facility upgrades to benefit our more than 16,400 members. The upgrades will take place over 2024 and include replacing the aging ATM at our Main Office in Ishpeming and transitioning one existing drive-through lane to provide an Interactive Teller Machine (ITM). The ITM will allow members to perform advanced self-service transactions like depositing checks and cash, transferring funds, and withdrawing cash 24 hours a day while also providing video chat support with a credit union representative during business hours.

In addition to the upgrades at our Main Office in Ishpeming, TruNorth is investing in our new Marquette Branch with construction of a new building on the US Highway 41 corridor in Marquette Township. Our new branch will feature the latest technology offering members more choices and convenience while maintaining the personalized service our members expect. Our investment in a new 4,800 square foot full-service branch will allow TruNorth to meet the needs of our growing membership in a way our current space does not allow, by including three Interactive Teller Machines that allow members to perform advanced self-service transactions 24 hours a day in our drive-through lanes, while also providing walk-up teller stations in our lobby for members’ in-person transactions, and a full complement of loan officers to meet our members’ borrowing needs.

“We want to assure our members that Ishpeming will continue to be our Main Office,” stated Steve Smith, President/CEO. “Ishpeming is our home, this is where we started, this is where we have served our members for 75 years, and our roots are here–permanently. All services we currently provide in Ishpeming will continue to be provided in the future. Our new Marquette Branch will allow us to serve our growing membership throughout the Marquette community and surrounding areas with superior service, technology, and convenience.”

Our Team at TruNorth Federal Credit Union is dedicated to providing the best options to serve our members, as well as upgrading our service delivery platforms and technologies. Our investment in a new facility will significantly benefit our members, businesses, and the communities we serve.
