TruNorth Federal Credit Union

About Us

Our History

TruNorth Federal Credit Union is proud that it’s been serving upper Michigan communities for more than 65 years. We first opened our doors as Ishpeming Co-Op Federal Credit Union in 1949 with just 14 members. As a credit union, we operate as a non-profit to provide the best services to our local community and members - that's you!

Over the decades our name has changed and our credit union has flourished. We now have over 15,000 members, three branches and our field of membership has grown to include five counties. Throughout all of these changes, one thing has always remained the same – TruNorth Federal Credit Union is here to provide you with the best possible products and services, in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible through member service and technology.

Our Field of Membership

TruNorth Federal Credit Union serves those who live, work, worship or attend school in Alger, Baraga, Dickinson, Iron and Marquette counties.
